Marine Biologist for a Day/ Night

Nursery Watch (Hatchling Release included) Biologists for a day are trained to monitor actively hatching nests inside the greenhouse where turtles are emerging. You will record data on emerging hatchlings, learn to clean out sea turtle nests and inventory their contents (fertile eggs, shells, infertile eggs, and hatching eggs). you will work side by side with marine biologists and assist in the release of the hatchlings. •Dates Available: December 10 - March 20 •Arrival time: 10:00am (training with Biologist) •Duration: 5 hours (10:00am - 3:00pm) •Shaded palapa area is provide at turtle camp •Please bring water and lunch Please consider registering for a day early during your stay in Todos Santos, so that in the off-chance there is not an active nest that day you can return another day later that week. Break 3:00-5:00pm return for Nest escavation and hatchling release at 5:00pm Hatchling Release Learn to escavate and inventory sea turtle nests, record nest data, care for hatchlings and help manage the release. •Dates available: December 10-March 20 •Arrival time: 5:00pm (December), 5:30 (Jan-Mar) •Duration: 2-3 hours •Please bring jacket and head lamp with red filter Contribution to Turtle Camp: $75 usd per person Reserve Below with a $25 deposit. The remainder is requested in cash on site.
